Crafts Technology was awarded the Innovation Award at the first annual Elk Grove Village Expo with U.S Rep. Tammy Duckworth based on a submittal that highlighted the company’s success at developing a new product that is helping to significantly increase the competitiveness of companies that produce plastic injection molded parts. 

By using a combination of its’ proprietary formulation of an ultra-hard Tungsten Carbide material and highly skilled workforce to produce high precision core pin tooling, Crafts Technology is able to help injection molders reduce part production cycle times by as much as 40 percent or more.  This technology development has major implications on the plastics injection molding industry and stands to significantly increase the overall productivity of the plastics injection molding industry.

Attending the exposition event was U.S. Rep. Tammy Duckworth, who also cut the ribbon to open the event and state Senator Jim Oberweis, a candidate for U.S. Senate. Crafts Technology is proud to be recognized by the Expo team that was put together to represent the Elk Grove Village Business Park, which is the largest contiguous business park in the United States with more than 62 million square feet of industrial space and 3,400 businesses. The judging panel for the award was made up of a broad cross-section of Elk Grove people, including business people, residents, elected officials, and other stakeholders.
