The Coordinate Metrology Society (CMS) recently announced the launch of its new digital library of original technical papers delivered by metrology experts over the past twelve years at its annual conference—the Coordinate Metrology Society Conference (CMSC). The library is an online archival of over 100 technical papers and journals covering a broad range of industry topics including 3D measurement, inspection, assembly, best practices, new innovations and more. The release of these valuable assets is meant to further support the research, development and progression of advanced manufacturing, scientific studies, industry standards, and Smart Factory initiatives. Developed in partnership with Quality Digest, publisher of the Journal of the CMSC since 2006, the periodical is distributed twice a year by CMS. Each issue devotes its pages to white papers presented by industry professionals at the annual CMSC. The new CMS library of technical papers and journals can be accessed at by this link.

The digital library offers a variety of query tools to locate technical papers and specific topics by keywords, timelines, titles, authors and measurement categories. Listed in descending chronological order, selections of technical papers and full issues of the Journal of the CMSC can be downloaded. The printed version of the Journal of the CMSC can be purchased and delivered. CMS members in good standing can download all materials for free, as the annual subscription fee for the journal is included in the organization's yearly membership dues. Non-members will pay fees between $35-70 plus shipping and handling depending on the selected publication.

Renowned for its slate of unique technical papers and presentations year after year, CMSC 2018 once again offered more than 25 technical papers from distinguished speakers and leading metrology practitioners from around the world. Metrology practitioners, quality control managers, manufacturing executives, scientists, students and educators convened at the 5-day event on July 23-27, 2018 at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada.
