AST Advances Operations with Establishment of AST Technology (UK) Ltd. and New Staff

AST Technology is expanding.

AST Technology, a leader in comprehensive support services that are tailored to assist OEM customers and their manufacturers with the tools they need to optimize cost, quality and delivery of injection mold tooling and plastic part production, is expanding. Part of that expansion includes the establishment of AST Technology (UK) Ltd., based in Oldham, UK. The new enterprise, which is a sister company of Herford, Germany-based  AST Technology GmbH, began actively trading in April. “We have always had engineers working in UK and, in fact, we have many customers in the UK, making it a good decision to establish this new division,” explains Philip Parmenter, who is Managing Director of both the German and UK offices. “Our customer base is growing in the UK as well as across the globe, and having a second base of operations makes it easier to serve our customers’ needs more capably.”

In addition to the expansion in the UK, AST welcomed three new employees to the UK-based team. Paul Stidworthy recently joined AST as Business Development Manager. Previously he worked as a Business Unit Director at a medical molding company. With over 25 years of experience, Paul is a true industry expert with a PhD in Polymer Engineering and a wealth of experience from automotive to medical. E-mail him at
