Does your company build molds with increasingly complex details and tight tolerances? Are you looking for ways in which to optimize your CNC machining processes so that there is less or, better, no need for secondary processes? Join us this Thursday, January 25, at 1 p.m. CT for a free webinar presented by Autodesk Inc.

At MMT, we are hearing from so many mold and die manufacturing companies that customers’ jobs are getting more and more challenging. Some are investing in new or additional five-axis machining centers, others are adopting automation and job-tracking programs, but one thing is for sure: They all need a solution that will help them build complex tools that meet customers’ needs while reducing lead times and keeping costs at bay.

Titled “Mold & Die: The Key to Optimal Machining Productivity,” Autodesk will feature its latest CAM solution PowerMill 2018 to demonstrate how manufacturers can machine the most complex cavities, cores, sliders and associated parts with exceptional levels of precision and quality that require no manual polishing or re-work.

Webinar attendees will learn about:

  • How to utilize stock models to quickly remove remaining material, avoiding air cutting, and reducing cycle time.
  • Quick 3 to 3+2 with Dynamic Machine Control to change tool axis to an optimum collision free toolpath without recalculating the toolpath.
  • Feeding a machine the right amount of points with the ability to set point spacing before or after the toolpath is calculated.

Autodesk Technical Specialist Justin Ferguson will lead the webinar. Register online today.
