Not only did the snow bring together some of the mold building community for a little snowmobiling, it also helped raise money for a good cause. Proceeds from this inaugural I-Sledders 2015 Charity Snowmobile Ride on February 20-22 benefit iWarriors, which provides technology and assistance for wounded service members to help with rehabilitation and recovery from physical injuries, post traumatic stress and traumatic brain injuries.

Not only did the snow bring together some of the mold building community for a little snowmobiling, it also helped raise money for a good cause. Proceeds from this inaugural i-Sledders 2015 Charity Snowmobile Ride on February 20-22 benefit iWarriors, which provides technology and assistance for wounded service members to help with rehabilitation and recovery from physical injuries, post traumatic stress and traumatic brain injuries.

iWarriors is an organization MMT has been covering since it was founded by Tim and Kim Bartz of Minnesota-based Mold Craft

This first-ever two-day i-Sledders trip took place in Michigan's upper peninsula with 24 mold buiders in attendance. The event was hosted by Progressive Components and Craftsman Tool and Mold.  The event kicked off with a snowmobile ride to tour Extreme Tool & Engineering, who donated to the cause. Snowmobilers then rode about 170 miles finishing out the first day. The second day included a ride to the top of the Porcupine Mountains, Lake of the Clouds, and then onto a local casino where all the winnings would go to iWarriors. A total of 140 miles was covered that day. All in all, $$7,000 was raised for the iWarriors iPad program! A job well done.
