85 Trainees and Students Begin Apprenticeship at Arburg
A total of 85 new trainees and students from the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University began their apprenticeship at Arburg on 2 September 2019. Managing Partner Renate Keinath, responsible for human resources management at the company, welcomed the new trainees and students on behalf of the partners and management, the apprenticeship team and all employees. Arburg works closely with the vocational schools and cooperative universities in the federal state to maintain the high level of apprenticeship. In addition, Arburg is the first company in Baden-Württemberg to have received triple quality certification.
NIMS Launches Industry Recognized CAM Credentials
The National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) offers standardized computer aided manufacturing (CAM) credentials, CAM milling and turning. The new credentials are based on standards developed in partnership with and sponsored by Autodesk, a leader in 3D design and engineering software. Over 125 subject matter experts from organizations such as CNC Software, developer of Mastercam; Barefoot CNC; Arkansas State University Mid-South; CamInstructor, and custom machining technology leader, Rosenburger of North America, volunteered their insight during the rigorous development and piloting process of the standards.
Meximold Offers Necessary Technical Information on Mold Manufacturing
Meximold, an event that will bring together mold, tool and die producers and global suppliers of solutions for their design, manufacturing and maintenance, presents itself as an ideal and one-of-a-kind scenario by offering the entire necessary technical and update information on mold manufacturing, introducing the latest technologies for manufacturing and leveraging, and providing a space to make new business and business contacts. Meximold will be held from November 20 to 21 at the Congress Center of Querétaro and is organized by Gardner Business Media and the Asociación Mexicana de Fabricación de Moldes y Matrices – AMMMT (Mexican Association of Manufacture of Molds and Dies) with an innovative format that includes a complete academic agenda, a commercial exhibition with more than a hundred of global exhibitors, and a B2B business meeting for those engaged in the manufacture of plastic injection molds in Mexico.
Emuge Corp. to Hold Tech Expo
Emuge Corp. will be holding a Tech Expo November 7, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at its expanded 26,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art manufacturing facility that more than doubles the size of the company’s U.S. headquarters and manufacturing/technology center to over 50,000 total sq. ft. Tours of the new facility, introductions to the latest tapping and milling tool technology, as well as live machining demonstrations, will be given. Manufacturing professionals are welcome and encouraged to attend.
