“American Grown, American Made”

Today - Independence Day – I celebrate American manufacturing, American moldmakers and other business owners and their employees.

What’s blue, white and read all over? MoldMaking Technology, of course! Okay, I rather sadly revised the old joke, but what I’m angling at is that our magazine is patriotic. We love our country and we love meeting and writing about American-grown, American-made moldmakers, molds and the products manufactured from those molds. We feel blessed to be part of such a patriotic group of men and women in the industry, too.

Just about two weeks ago I was walking the aisles of our trade show, AMERImold, please note the emphasis on “Ameri”, and saw plenty of patriotic gestures in signage and in our country’s flag being displayed in various booths. Exhibitors commented about potential customers at Amerimold seeking out moldmakers who only build molds here. In a global industry that’s pretty significant – and it makes me very proud.

Mind you, I have nothing against moldmakers from outside of the USA, but today - Independence Day – I celebrate American manufacturing, American moldmakers and other business owners and their employees. If anyone happens to see this post, check out a few snapshots of patriotism, and I hope everyone has a safe and glorious Fourth of July weekend.
