Technology Showcase: Heading to Westec?

DP Technology’s Esprit 2017 software release features simplified user interaction, smarter toolpath technology and faster programmability partly by upgrading the machine and toolpath performance of Esprit ProfitMilling inside closed cavities.

Faro will exhibit its Vantage S and Vantage E laser trackers, which offer mobile device control and portability for efficiency and ease of use.

Haimer will feature its Microset tool presetting machines, which are said to streamline tool setting processes to reduce set up times by as much as 70 percent.

Shop Floor Automations (SFA) will display software and hardware solutions intended to help manufacturers increase productivity, OEE and profits without buying new machines or downsizing their workforce in order to afford upgrades.

Monster Tool will showcase its LRNF and HPNF line of high-performance solid carbide end mills for aluminum and nonferrous applications.

Rego Fix’s PowRGrip system has interchangeable collets and holds both carbide and high speed steel tools.

Fixtureworks will highlight its TriMax vises, its TG GripSerts carbide workholding grippers and the new Fairlane GP-Series rubber gripper pads.

Tebis recently issued the fourth release of Version 4.0, which has improved orientation for deep-hole drilling in the CAM area.

For instance, each day Westec offers attendees a full-day’s seminar with an array of speakers on a topic geared toward helping attendees boost their competitiveness in a global marketplace. This series is called the Smart Manufacturing Seminar Series. The event also features keynote speakers, panel discussions, business-focused discussions about such things as workforce development and training, and a “Shop Talk Meet and Greet” event.
