One of my favorite events of the year has always been the annual AMBA Conference. It has played a critical role in building many of the key relationships that I still have today, and each year I continue to make new connections. This year the entire MMT Editorial Team will be there, so be sure to stop by our tabletop to say hello, pick up a current issue, grab a giveaway and chat with us about the issues you are facing today.

This year’s AMBA Conference 2019 is taking place on May 8-10 in Itasca, Illinois. It is a no-nonsense, two-day exchange that provides profit-impacting information to senior executives in the mold building industry, including insights on industry trends, operational improvements, leadership strategies and benchmarks that help attendees learn, improve and grow.

This year’s theme is Strategies.Executed, which aims to inspire mold manufacturing professionals to work alongside their teams to learn and share industry knowledge and best practices, providing all attendees with new ways to improve profitability, connect with industry peers and become better at what they do.

New additions to this year's conference include:

  • The launch of the Emerging Leaders Network, the AMBA young professionals group for members and partners
  • AC Labs, which will include topic-specific presentations from AMBA members
  • A technical track, focusing on new global trends in technology presented by best-in-class mold builders and industry professionals

Returning are the annual Mold Builder of the Year and Trailblazer of the Year Awards.
