The DMC-900's 15,000 RPM, 56 HP spindle generates 300 ft-lb of torque at only 1,000 RPM ? ideal for heavy cutting! The machine also boasts box ways on the Z axis head and Y axis saddle and Schneeberger roller-type linear ways for X axis table traverse. Other features: 24 tool ATC and XYZ travels of 35" x 35" x 30". This high speed vertical machining center has the speed, rigidity, and precision for high speed mold machining. The VMC sports standard features including roller type linear ways on all axes, large diameter pre-tensioned ballscrews, and an integral spindle. Heavy Meehanite castings provide the strength and vibration dampening for excellent surface finishes and long tool life. Large diameter, pretensioned ballscrews and powerful servo motors ensure accurate positioning. Rapid rates are 944 IPM in all axes. A standard 24,000 RPM HSK-63A spindle delivers 31 HP (53 ft/lb torque) for medium roughing/fine finishing. An 18,000 RPM HSK-63A spindle provides more cutting torque.
