Developed for laser and micro welding, MoldStar 90 Weld Wire from Performance Alloys and Services, Inc. (Germantown, WI) is available in smaller diameters (.011, .025 and .030 diameters). This high purity weld wire was alloyed specifically for repairing or restoring surfaces, edges, corners and areas that have been damaged or machined outside of acceptable limits. The wire is ideally suited for use on the company’s beryllium-free copper alloys and can be used on other copper alloys as well. The wire provides excellent color match when applied to MoldStar alloys and beryllium-copper alloys, and it also matches well. The hardness of the wire’s weld zone, as applied, will be within a few points Rockwell hardness of the substrate it is applied to.
