Braun Machinery will exhibit the Takumi H10, a vertical machining center equipped with a FANUC 31i series control that is designed specifically for the die/mold industry. The VMC features a rigid and thermally stable double-column design for parts and molds that require high precision and superior surface finishes. It offers XYZ travels of 40.16", 27.56" and 19.69", respectively; rapids of 1,259 ipm on all three axes; and a 15,000-rpm direct-drive spindle.

A long-time Hurco distributor, Braun also will demonstrate the Hurco VMX42i equipped with Hurco’s UltiMotion motion control system, which is designed to reduce cycle time as much as 30 percent while providing high surface-finish quality. The VMX42i offers XYZ travels of 42", 24" and 24", respectively; and rapids of 1,378, 1,378 and 1,181 ipm, respectively. Larger linear rails are strategically spaced and mounted to a machined shoulder for increased rigidity, and they are wedge-locked to the frame to reduce vibration. Double-nut, pre-tensioned ballscrews are anchored at both ends to increase accuracy and rigidity.
