Iscar’s (Arlington, TX) new HELIDO 600 UPFEED tools combine the strength of the HELIDO with FEEDMILL’s unique insert geometry to facilitate milling at very high feedrates. It is possible to machine at up to 0.138 inches per tooth with this new trigon double-sided, six-edged insert. The inserts are peripherally ground and have a 17° lead angle cutting edge configuration. The cutting forces are directed axially toward the spindle, which provides high stability and enables machining at high feedrates even in long overhang applications.
