The industrial cutting speed in tool steel can reach a high of 42 sq. in. per hour, once again raising the top speed barrier, which was previously 37 sq. in. per hour (which also was set by Charmilles). The CC generator is a digital generator based on high-tech components. From roughing to finishing, the CC generator is ‘zero voltage’ to protect parts against electrolytic effects. As a result, users of the 240cc achieve the fastest cutting speed on the market plus anti-electrolysis in rough and skim cutting. The key to the 240cc speed is Charmilles’ spark design. The maximum ignition voltage was increased by 25 percent, while the maximum amplitude was tripled from 400 amp. to 1,200 amp. The machines also achieve a high quality surface finish and finer surface finishes with fewer skim cuts.
