REGO-FIX’s (Indianapolis, IN) PG 10 is the latest expansion to its powRgrip toolholding system. Because the system features long and slim contours, it enables a whole new level in long reach performance, and is ideal for small part machining. Because the system does not use heat, it is well-suited for holding small diameters. It can be combined with the already existing PG 15 and PG 25 toolholding systems for longer extensions. Like all of the company’s toolholders, PG 10 toolholders are balanced by design; therefore, improving part quality and surface finish, and lowering manufacturing costs. In addition, all toolholders are balanceable up to 42,000 rpm and are coolant capable. This toolholding system can replace conventional systems, such as hydraulic holders or shrink fit holders, and includes a holder, collet and mini-press that generate six tons of force. Swiss precision grinding of all toolholder components guarantee a low T.I.R. of less than 0.0001”—which results in longer tool life, better parts and surface finish, and higher productivity. The toolholders are available in metric (3mm–20mm) and inch sizes (1/8”–3/4”).
