Iscar Metals will showcase its new MULTI- MASTER MM FF combines steel shanks with indexable carbide FEEDMILL heads for long life and repeatability in high feed machining at IMTS. This tool system allows users to do a variety of milling operations while still producing Fast Metal Removal (F.M.R.) results. The easily interchangeable carbide heads provide superior performance with the added advantage of reduced indexing time. A variety of milling head configurations—ball nose, square shoulder, chamfering and slitting cutter—are known as unique threaded carbide heads for superior performance, short indexing time (the tool remains clamped in the machine) and improved economy. Each cutting head has an advanced pressed shape with sharp ground cutting edges. These heads can quickly be changed to a variety of tools without ever removing the tool from the machine. There is no setup after indexing and no spare parts needed. Roughing and finishing can be performed with the same tool. One shank is used for a variety of interchangeable milling head geometries.
