Seco Tools Inc. (Warren, MI) offers its JH141 Tornado end mill specially engineered to hold high tolerances and very fine finish requirements, making it specifically suited for high-tech moldmaking applications. The JH141 eliminates the need for tool changes as it is capable of handling semi-rough, pre-finish and finish processes. The new endmill, available from 2.0 to 16.0 mm, features a large, precision radius (sometimes called a “Torical” tool). The rigid construction and large corner radius make the JH141 an excellent tool for semi-roughing operations, but it’s the precision of the cutting edge that gives it the unique ability to also be a finishing tool. Like the rest of the Tornado endmills, the JH141 is constructed of very fine grain solid carbide, and is PVD-coated with the highly durable MEGA coating for maximum edge sharpness. The result is less vibration, excellent finish and a high degree of accuracy.
