Erowa Technology (Arlington Heights, IL)—a major North American manufacturer of standardized workholding and robotics systems for the machining industry—will unveil its Erowa Robot Compact. Used in tandem with its pallets, these robots bring an unprecedented level of streamlining and profitability to any shop’s production program. The Erowa Robot Compact (ERC) is a much asked-for design, slim enough to fit between two existing machines and serve them both with up to 160 electrodes or small workpieces. This machine will move pallets of up to 66 pounds to and from the machine. Depending on the way the machines are laid out, the transfer unit can swivel to the left, right or in both directions, as required. Because the ERC has such a small footprint it can easily be inserted between two existing machines and can drastically increase their output of finished materials.
