Vericut 6.0 features several enhancements designed to increase the ability of manufacturing engineers to simulate the entire CNC machining process. The software simulates CNC machining to detect errors, collisions or areas of inefficiency. According to developer CGTech, this enables NC programmers to reduce or eliminate prove-outs while reducing errors and increasing CNC machining efficiency. A reduction in scrap loss and rework and optimization of NC program feed rates are other potential benefits of using the program. To provide a virtual machining environment, the software simulates CNC control G-code programs. It also simulates all types and configurations of CNC machine tools, including those from manufacturers such as Mazak, Makino, Matsuura, Hermle, DMG, DIXI, Mori Seiki and Chiron. In addition to the capability of running standalone, the software can also be integrated with CAM systems such as Catia V5, Unigraphics, Pro/Engineer, MasterCAM and EdgeCAM.
