This well-engineered modular design offers a large diameter range for precision digital boring. The basic head can hold multiple tools, like solid carbide boring bars which cover the working range 0.079”-0.394” (2-10 mm) and various indexable insert boring bars for ranges 0.394”-2.677” (10-68 mm). For larger diameters, 2.677”-4.882” (68-124 mm), there are two lightweight bridges made from aluminium. The inner coolant supply throughout the tool is consistent both with boring bars and bridges. The MQL technology requirements were considered when designing the coolant channels. The backlash-free adjustment, with the help of the digital display (registering up to 0.0001”) is extremely accurate. Set-up errors are virtually ruled out. The combination of balance, precision, and operation safety ensure excellent quality. The B4035 delivers a number of additional features, increasing production and lowering costs. The diameter range above 0.394” (10 mm) has only two indexable insert sizes needed, and these are three-edge ANSI W-type inserts. Also, the precision balance allows speeds up to 16,000 rpm, reducing machining times.
