Robohand (Monroe, CT), a DE-STA-CO company, has designed the B-Series Industrial Parallel Grippers in three styles (the BPW, BRP and BPG) to cover a wide range of applications to handle bigger/heavier parts and assemblies. The BPW series feature a wide body that is ideal for handling large and wide parts using long fingers. The jaws are supported through the full length of the body for high moment carrying capacity. They are also sealed against chips or particles, handle high grip forces and offer a non-synchronous option. The heavy duty BRP series have a rugged design for reliable operation in real life industrial operations. Sealed jaws protect the internal mechanism from chips and coolant in machining applications. Hardened tool steel jaws and support allow for long tooling fingers and high moments and force. These grippers also offer an optional spring open or close. The BRP series feature a long stroke and low profile, and can be used to handle different size parts with the same fingers. The jaws and supports are made of hardened tool steel and the body is made of lightweight hard anodized aluminum.
