Multi-Component AM System Offers Two Discharge Units

Arburg’s Freeformer additive manufacturing system, which uses 3D CAD data to create functional parts out of qualified, standard granulates, is equipped with two stationary discharge units, enabling it to process an additional component in order, for example, to manufacture a part in different colors, with special tactile qualities or as a hard/soft combination.

Alternatively, it can be used to build structures from a water-soluble support material, enabling complex part geometries.

The system can quickly manufacture prototypes and design samples for functional and assembly tests in the original material. Additionally, it can manufacture functional components and spare parts at short notice in small batches or, combined with injection molding, to individualize mass-produced parts.
