The Stuffer Box has a volume of 27 in.3, which equates to approximately 1.1 lbs of pre-mixed material. Regulated air pressure has been designed with a 10:1 ratio to accommodate injecting different materials into the barrel. With as much as 1,000 psi of regulated pressure, both natural and silicone rubbers can be used within the Stuffer Box system. The silicone or rubber is fed directly into the screw and barrel from the Stuffer Box. A 3/4-14 NPT thread adapts to the barrel of the molding machine. (In some instances, an adapter plate may be needed.) At the end of the run, the Stuffer Box can be unscrewed and stored in a refrigerator with the material inside for easy start up the next day.
