Industrial Molds continues its expansion with the installation of new equipment purchased last year and plans for an additional $1.4 million in new equipment and plant renovations in 2015.

A new Mikron HSM 400 ULP five-axis electrode-cutting machine has been installed and is currently running, doubling the company’s electrode production, and a new OKK HM1000s horizontal mill also has been installed that is expected to enable the company to run jobs back-to-back and to increase lights-out operations for the mold base area. The company also updating its wire EDM equipment to gain the ability to automate the threading and give it lights-out capabilities, recently purchasing two Makino U6 heat-wire EDMs.
