In addition, its coefficient of friction is only 0.05, and because it is applied at a low 185°F, it can be used on any substrate and is easily strippable, leaving no damage to the base material of molds. NIBORETM boasts a controllable variable hardness rating between 54-67 RD, which adds the benefit of superior abrasion resistance and excellent corrosion protection. NIBORETM also can withstand extreme temperatures—up to 1,250°F—far surpassing the 550°F maximum of all Teflon® coatings.
