Available from Alba Enterprises, Babyplast micro injection molding machines are designed for the production of micro parts from a variety of thermoplastic materials ranging to 420°C, in addition to metal, ceramic and wax injection molding. Their small physical footprint, each taking up only 10 ft.2 of floor space, allows for easy adoption within an existing factory layout. They can also be used in cleanroom applications.

The fully hydraulic machines are available in both horizontal and vertical configurations: the Babyplast 6/10P horizontal machine; the 6/10VP vertical machine, which has no tie bars and is particularly well-suited for small pieces with inserts; and the UAI I/10P autonomous injection unit. This third model is a plug-and-play solution that converts a standard injection molding machine to a multi-shot machine for as many as four components. The unit can be fixed to any part of the mold, including the moving half, and it can be installed in a production line, with the clamp and injection part removed from the base. Due to the small size, two UAI units can be positioned very close together for injecting on each end of a wire at the same time, for example.
