Hwacheon Machine Tool Co. Ltd. showcased a number of machines. Its high precision vertical CNC lathe was designed for a wide range of complex heavy duty applications. The rigid structure in travelling column design allows perfect weight and load dispersion and greatly reduces vibration which delivers superior precision. The solid box guide way design includes Hwacheon’s proprietary and unique air floating system which allows the heavy column to move faster, smoother and without friction—achieving superb surface finishes, the company reports.
HSC machining centers are designed with the highest precision and unequalled static rigidity, which eliminates less than ideal dynamic properties which could result in excess vibration resulting in poor surface finishes, shorter tool life or even breakage and damage to the machine, the company notes. The units feature a closed gantry design with optimized ribbing within the machine castings, which guarantees best possible conditions for highest precision and ideal cutting conditions.
Included in the Hi-Tech Series are the 200 / 300 / 400 / 450 / 550 / 700 / 850—which all feature extreme stability, rigidity and durability. The newly introduced 850 / 850L has a solid box guide way system in all axes, and an extremely powerful main drive of 45Kw (60Hp).
The SIRIUS UM / UL+ and UX were developed for high speed applications; and are equipped with a 20,000 rpm built-in motor spindle.
