JDL Technical Services’ ToolQuote is an injection/die-cast mold quoting program with a graphic interface that automatically provides a sketch of the tool layout based on pre-determined user templates and part size. Once the mold layout has been generated, the program automatically calculates material sizes and costs, purchased items, and labor items, based on the selected customizable, user-defined tool profiles or templates.
Revisions can be easily managed, and quotes can be printed or emailed directly from ToolQuote with detailed costs and a tool sketch with customer press layouts, if desired.
The program works with Microsoft SQL Server and creates a database of all calculations and quotes. These can be called upon later for comparison with a history of changes and actual costs, if the project was realized. The database is easily searchable by a number of parameters, including by pictures.
