Seco-Carboloy (Warren, MI) has added new fixed pocket and adjustable cutters to its range of 335.18 indexable insert discmills. The free cutting design prolongs tool life and provides excellent performance in difficult materials or in extended reach applications. With a wide range of grades, these new disc mills effectively machine a broad spectrum of materials, and provide confidence and reliability for customers performing short run projects to full scale production. The additions include new free cutting (positive geometry) LNKT and LNKW inserts and round 6 mm and 8 mm RD and RP styles. These new inserts feature corner radii from .015”-.122” for all disc milling applications. Additionally, a full range of grades is available to provide consistent performance in steel, stainless steel and cast iron. The cutter bodies feature cassettes for precision and depth of cut machining from .390”–5.90”. Additionally, the cutters range from 4.00–10.00 inches and are available both with and without hub.
