Fast Heat will unveil improvements to its low-cavitation Ion and high-cavitation Pulse hot runner temperature controller lines, including touchscreen interfaces, wireless connectivity, remote monitoring and cloud-based predictive analytics.

New software within the controllers allows for highly connective part processing via cloud-based computing. A proprietary wireless chip set enables customers to “see” inside their production environment through their smartphones, tablets or desktop environments. Predictive analytics within the software can anticipate problems in the mold before they happen and send alerts if there is an actual failure.

The company also will feature its CableXChecker and MoldXChecker equipment for diagnosing heater, thermocouple, and connectivity problems within the hot runner system and mold.

The CableXChecker is customized to the customer’s specific wiring diagram standards and is designed to quickly identify bad cables without using a labor-intensive multimeter. The MoldXChecker is designed to quickly and precisely identify thermocouple short circuits, heater short circuits and other heater quality problems before the mold enters the production cell.
