A silent ball screw with center cooling and an advanced highbred lubrication system deliver rapid traverse at 36,000mm/min (1,417ipm), and cutting speed is an exceptional 20,000mm/min (787ipm).

The heart of the MILLAC 44V’s performance is the 12,000-rpm spindle (20,000 optional) powered by an 11/18.5kW motor. A cooling unit with inverter control is standard. Tool clamping forces have been advanced to 8,000 N. to reduce chatter during cutting—even in tough metals. The unique motor construction results in quiet operation and low vibration.

This machine is equipped with heat-treated box ways that deliver precision po-sitioning and long life. The compact design eliminates overhang and provides for easy access. Attention to detail is evident in the hybrid lubrication system, the ergo-nomic double door and the convenient control panel.
