Greenleaf (Saegertown, PA) will feature its expanded Grooving and Profiling System—one of the most comprehensive lines of cut-off, grooving and profiling inserts and tooling available in the industry today—at Westec. The advanced carbide Groove Turn System (GTS) and Cut-Off System (COS) inserts for grooving, profiling, and cut-off have been added to fit an extensive standard tool holder system. The GTS groove-turn system offers computer engineered inserts, which are designed to give excellent chip control when grooving, turning or profiling in any direction. The COS insert has a positive chip form geometry coupled with an advanced PVD coated grade designed for straight, smooth cut-off, and long tool life on the most demanding materials. This system—which accepts both carbide and ceramic inserts—includes fixed blade tools as well as qualified tool shanks and bars that accept 248 standard support blade combinations. Available standard quick-change shanks such as CAPTO or KM dramatically increase the application range of the company’s support blade system. Additionally, the company will discuss its specialty engineering services for custom left- or right-hand support blades for unique applications.
