Vericut 8.0 from CGTech features several enhancements designed to increase the user’s ability to analyze, optimize and document CNC programming and machining processes. The software ties complex processes together with the ability to monitor and evaluate potential problems efficiently and in a consolidated manner, thereby reducing the time spent in programming and machining.

According to the company, this release optimizes workflow and helps users find the functionality needed with minimal mouse clicks. A new “ribbon bar” allows users to quickly select a desired function and dynamically updates to show the options available for any given tab. Options are grouped by the function they perform within the software.

Users also now can optimize “Air Cuts Only” (off-part milling cutter motions) as a capability included with the software’s base verification license. This new method is intended as an easy-to-use, entry-level method of optimizing NC programs. Additional optimization strategies are available with the purchase of OptiPath or Force modules.
