A recent small business finalist in the annual Official Small Business of NASCAR sweepstakes, Bales Mold Service will be sharing its story and highlighting its full-service polishing and plating operations, which serve customers across the U.S. and worldwide at amerimold. Sara Mortensen, owner of Bales was introduced during a special news conference with Greg Biffle and Tony Stewart late last year at the Atlanta Motor Speedway (Roush is keynote presenter at this year's amerimold expo on Thursday, June 14). Biffle featured the Bales' logo on his racecar during the AdvoCare 500.  In 2009, Mortensen's father passed away and the company was handed down to her and her sister, Stacey Bales. Knowing that their father was a racing fan, Mortensen dug out his old NASCAR hat and put it on her desk for good luck after entering this year's sweepstakes. It worked.  Today, Bales Mold has a second location in Harlingen, TX, and handles intricate coating and finishing applications to solve corrosion and abrasion problems. The newest coating, NIBORE, is an electroless nickel boron nitride co-deposited matrix. amerimold Booth # 213
