Seco Tools subsidiary Niagara Cutter’s Stabilizer 2.0 family of end mills incorporate continuous variable asymmetrical geometries for smooth and chatter-free performance that the company says allows feed rates to be doubled over those of previous models. And because they handle twice the chip-load capacity, they also are said to substantially shorten machining cycle times and further boost productivity.

The end mill line includes the ST430.2 series, designed for steels, alloy steels and cast iron; and the ST440.2 HT series for ISO-M and ISO-S materials, including stainless steel, titanium and high-temperature alloys. An advanced aluminum titanium nitride (AlTiN) coating offers resistance to heat and abrasion to optimize tool life.

The end mills come in diameters from 0.125" to 1.0" and 3 to 25 mm, with square corner and corner radii of 0.01", 0.02", 0.03", 0.06" and 0.12" (based on series and diameter). Lengths are 1×D, 2×D and 3×D, and shanks are either cylindrical or, if 0.375" or larger in diameter, have Weldon flats.
