CGS North America Inc. will be demonstrating the latest version of its Elite CAD/CAM Software CAM-TOOL Version 8.1.

In response to users' requests for the ability to separate roughing and finishing programs based on the length of the tool protruding from the holder “protruding divide” has been created in V8. The ability to get a drill from the tool database has also been added.

Cutting simulation/animation has been long requested and is now available in this release. Z-level scan roughing has been revamped with a number of improvements to make it more efficient and effective than previously. With the release of Version 8.1 there will be general improvements and fixes to known issues.

For SolidWorks users: CG CAM-TOOL an add-in to SolidWorks has released Version 2.1 and will be available for demonstration also. The ability to apply 3D and 2D toolpaths directly to the SolidWorks model getting the same high quality results as CAM-TOOL will minimize hand work and polishing on electrodes, inserts, slides, lifters, and core and cavity components.

CGS will be at amerimold 2012 in Booth 109. Register today for a free exhibit hall pass and a $50 conference discount compliments of MoldMaking Technology.
