Zeiss Industrial Metrology’s Surfcom NEX 100 is a hybrid surface measurement system designed to efficiently measure surface texture and contour at the same time. Multiple contour and roughness sensors are available to fit a variety of applications. Contours are measured using a high-speed and low-vibration linear drive unit that is said to deliver long-term stable movement for high measurement accuracy, while a high-resolution inductive system measures surface parameters.

The system features a 133-mm granite table with T-slots for ease of part staging, as well as an improved detector safety mechanism, quick-change magnetic contour arms that do not require requalification, optional T-stylus probing for up/downward tracing, automatic stylus force and a temperature correction function for assured accuracy within 20°C, ±5°C.
