The Evolution Line of dry ice blasting equipment from IceTech includes the Xtreme 40 and Elite 20 systems, and allows end users to clean molds in place, preventing potential damage caused by equipment removal and reinstallation. Molders can clean critical equipment parts while they are still at operating temperature, without water or chemicals. In addition, the systems can eliminate blemishes and unwanted flash that occurs in the parting line of mold halves.

Dry ice blasting uses dry ice pellets made from recycled carbon dioxide. The dry ice pellets sublimate, or turn back into CO₂ gas, when they come into contact with equipment. According to the company, the production of dry ice gives the recycled CO₂ a “second life” before it is released into the atmosphere, thereby delaying its effects on the environment.
