The CoroDrill 808 from Sandvik Coromant is a deep-hole drill designed especially for the company’s single-tube system (STS). It is equipped with an optimized pad design for improved hole finish, unique edge preparation for increased chip breaking, and a reinforced periphery insert corner for added security and reliability. Suitable for diameters from 15.60 to 65.00 mm (0.614-2.559") and tolerance demands of IT 9, the drill is capable of producing close-tolerance holes in a variety of component materials.

In addition, the drills are equipped with a fully traceable dot matrix that stores and displays information such as the measurement protocol, which includes data on diameter and runout of the drill. This two-dimensional patterned array is useful for product identification and traceability, the company says.
