P-20 hard mold steel from Diehl Steel is supplied prehardened and can be polished to an extremely high shine finish, making it well-suited for plastic molding applications, injection molds, compression molds, mold frames, forming tools and die holders. It is available in flat, hollow-bar, metric, non-standard, round, square and standard forms.

According to the company, the hard mold steel is tested to rigorous tool steel standards to ensure uniformity of structure and freedom from defects. It exhibits excellent compressive strength, and the balanced alloy composition ensures uniform cross-sectional hardness, Diehl says. It is prehardened to 352/461 BHN.
