RocTool’s C series of cooling units are designed to complement the company’s induction heating processes for plastic injection and composites processes, helping to optimize cycle times to increase equipment productivity. RocTool Performance Cooling (RPC) units such as the C2V boost cooling time for plastic injection by reducing the flow to a laminar state during heating while accelerating the flow to a turbulent state during cooling, the company says.

Specially designed for RocTool composite processing, the C series improves cycle times by purging water from the mold in order to reduce heating time and managing water flow during cooling. The C2V is used with water pressure networks higher than 3 bar at 100 l/mn, while the C6, C12 and C24 units are used with water pressure networks ranging to a maximum of 3 bar. During the purging sequence, water mixed with compressed air is sent back to a tank to prevent any turbulence in the water network, the company says.
