DME (Booth 307) says it has increased by 40 percent its stock of components that feature DIN metric measurements to accommodate an increased demand from North American moldmakers. The metric-sized component line includes bronze-plated wear plates; self-lubricating L-gibs; leader pins; and bronze-plated shoulder bushings, ejection bushings and self-lubricating guided-ejection bushings.

The wear plates are manufactured with a durable surface for bronze-plated molds that require slides, cams or flat surfaces where frictional wear is a factor. The L-gibs, which also feature a durable wear surface for high-production molds, are said to be easy to machine and can be shaped to virtually any configuration, requiring no special tools. Metric guide leader pins are precision-made of high-quality steel, and hardened and finish-ground to close tolerances. The bronze bushings are made of precision-ground steel with oil grooves and a true bushing surface that extends their full length. They are said to perform smoother and longer than plain steel, as lubricant is distributed throughout the bearing surface by the figure-eight oil groove system.
