Nikon Metrology’s iNEXIV VMA-4540V and VMA-4540 CNC video measuring systems use optical measuring and image processing technologies to automatically inspect the dimensions of a variety of precision equipment and parts. A wide field of view accommodates both large and tall mechanical parts, and CCD camera images and data processing enable the measurement of complex shapes.

Both systems offer a large, 450 × 400 × 200-mm measurement stroke that supports high-speed measurement of large printed substrates and tall plastic injection-molded parts, as well as mass inspection of multiple parts simultaneously.

While he VMA-4540V offers video measurement only, the VMA-4540 also provides optional touch-probe measurement and can accommodate Renishaw TP20 or TP200 probes. Touch probes enable measurement of 3D parts when video methods are unable to inspect lengths and angles in areas that not visible from above. A single teaching file captures both video measurements and touch probe measurements in one.
