Missler Software will present live demonstrations of its TopSolid 7 product data management- (PDM-) based CAD/CAM software range, and in particular TopSolid’Cam 7.8, its latest CAM software.
The CAM software’s new functionalities include TopSolid’Pdm Server 7, which centralizes all technical data related to a product, such as CAD designs, specification sheets, enhancement requests, design notes and more.
VoluMill machining strategies for tool path calculation also have been integrated into TopSolid’Cam 7.8. These tool paths use smooth, flowing motion, eliminating sharp directional changes and variances in tool load. According to Missler, using VoluMill in place of traditional roughing routines can reduce cycle times, extend cutting tool life and reduce stress on machine tools, thereby reducing costs while increasing productivity. NCSimul Machine G-code simulation software also has been integrated into the CAM platform.
