Clinton Aluminum and Stainless Steel (Clinton, OH) is proud to announce its newest processing center opening in Janesville, WI. The new 56,000-square feet processing facility will service Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana and its other customers in the western region of the United States. The facility will house more than one million pounds of aluminum and stainless steel plate, sheet, bar and special shapes. The Janesville facility will have a new Kasto saw with a cutting height of 42", throat capacity of 98" and will expand out to 196" inches in length. There also will be smaller saws on hand to handle smaller pieces. That facility will provide precision cutting with a tolerance of +/-.005 width and length as well as bar cutting and shearing capabilities. In addition to the new facility, the company is proud to announce the addition of two new products to its already full line of aluminum alloys: (1) Alumold 1-500, a high strength (175 KSI), heat treated and stress relieved alloy suitable for blow molds, injection molds and other high-pressure mold applications. This material is available from 6" to 20" thick; and, (2) 5000 series cast plate with excellent machinability, weldability and corrosion resistance. It is suitable for injection molds, blows molds, stryfoam molds, prototype molds, thermoform and general engineering uses.
