Featuring a five-axis, trunnion-style rotary/tilt table, Mazak’s VCU-500A/5X vertical machining center can process small, complex parts ranging to 19.68" in diameter and 12" high. XYZ travels measure 19.88" ×19.88" × 20.07" (505 × 505 × 510 mm), and C-axis stroke is 360 degrees.

Other features of the VMC include a rigid, powerful spindle in various maximum speed options; the MX Hybrid Roller Guide System for further rigidity, speed and accuracy; the Matrix 2 CNC for optimized five-axis machining; and a 30- or 40-tool magazine with an automatic toolchanger. The machine also accommodates articulated robots to automate load/unload operations.
