Diversified Machine Systems will exhibit a DMS five-axis CNC router at NPE2015 that includes a variety of available features for advanced materials machining that support emerging safety requirements. Some of these features include air-pressurized bellows, toolchanger doors to protect the outside of the work envelope, cool air guns for keeping contaminants away from runner blocks, and fully enclosed machining for safety and dust containment.

Strategic partner Fagor Automation also has integrated Renishaw software and contact tool-setting programs on the Fagor 8065 and 8070 CNC controls that allow operators to update their work offsets automatically and generate automatic reporting. Fagor control systems also now feature the MT Connect compliance communication protocols, allowing the CNC operator to network his DMS CNC router to provide process information that can be accessed from any connection on the network.

Specific to the Fagor 8065 CNC control, typically available as a standard offering on most DMS five-axis CNC routers, is a Tool Inspection mode that allows the operator to pause the program being executed, explore aspects of the machine without losing position and resume at the point of program interruption. It anticipates virtually any conditions that an operator may run into during the execution of a program and provides a solution.
