Hex-Turn inserts and holders from Ingersoll have 12 cutting edges. Each corner of the insert features wiper geometry to enhance surface finish, even at high feed rates. The 45-degree angle allows high feed rates with low cutting forces. A 120-degree included angle provides a strong insert design and excellent resistance against notching.

The external and internal toolholders use the T-type clamping system that provides clamping force with fast, accurate indexing, the company says. Internal holders feature directional coolant control.
