Triangle Tool Adds 4,000-Ton Krauss-Maffei Co-Injection Molding Machine

The new machine, a KM 4000-17200 MX, is a co-injection molding machine capable of producing parts up to 70 pounds.

With Triangle Tool Corporation’s 8,000-square foot addition complete, a new 4,000-ton Krauss-Maffei injection molding machine is in the process of being assembled and tested.  The new machine, a KM 4000-17200 MX, is a co-injection molding machine capable of producing parts up to 70 pounds. 

The massive new machine will be operational in May 2014 and gives Triangle Tool the ability for its customers to sample and fully test molds in excess of 100,000 pounds at the Milwaukee facility. 

“We are continually getting more requests from our customers to build larger molds and be able to fill that mold with a co-injected material,” says Daniel Gougé, Vice President of Sales at Triangle Tool.  “By fulfilling our customers’ needs onsite, we can deliver production ready molds faster than the competition.”

Triangle Tool specializes in large plastic molds, with many weighing more than 100,000 pounds and does custom machining for large weldments, castings, forgings, etc.  Its 205,000-square foot Milwaukee facility caters to the appliance, home product, industrial, automotive and oil & gas industries.
