The event featured Wire, Sinker and Small Hole EDM demos and had a constant flow of attendees.

“It was great to see so many interested attendees; there was a good mix of current Sodick customers and non-Sodick users.  There were also a good amount of people who do not currently have EDM in their shops and are just now learning how EDM can increase their shops capabilities”, said Marketing Manager, Isabel Florence.

Sodick featured the latest technology and the newest models on display with each model being linear motor driven.

The new Technical and Training Center houses Applications Engineers, Service and Support Engineers along with a Sales team.  Attendees at the event were able to meet the entire California office team.  The facility also houses a new consumables warehouse, enabling west-coast customers to receive their consumables faster.   The new facility is larger than the previous California location and in a more centralized location to better serve Sodick’s west-coast customers.

Sodick Inc., established in 1976, has sold over 50,000 EDMs worldwide and has had over 25,000 linear motor EDM deliveries.  Sodick machines are used for the production of dies and molds as well as other various applications that cannot be produced by standard machining methods.  Sodick has four ISO certified manufacturing facilities with over 3,100 employees worldwide and technical centers located in Chicago, New Jersey and California.  Sodick offers the industry’s first 10 year positioning guarantee on all of its linear motor driven EDMs.
